Maria's Ristorante on Summit - Authentic Italian Cuisine in Philadelphia

Outstanding, this restaurant is the best Italian food I’ve had. The chicken parmesan here with either spicy or regular marinara is incredible. The chicken is still crisp and the cheese and sauce aren’t overpowering it culminates into an excellent dish and the best chicken parm I’ve had. All of the desserts are also made by the owner and they are wonderful. This restaurant is immaculate and the service is also top grade. Very polite, attentive, and warm. STRONGLY recommend. It is always packed so account for a little wait if you didn’t call ahead and make reservations.

September 2022 update Still excellent! Desserts are amazing! ALL homemade and delicious. Wine bottles are very reasonable. Food is great. Yum. September, 2021 update Still a great little spot. We had dinner outside and it was perfect. The service was excellent. They really took good care of us and made sure we were happy. I added some new photos. The antipasto is a great start to the dinner. It was enough for the 4 of us along with their fresh, hot focaccia bread. Everything came out hot and fresh and we had no complaints. The glasses of wine were filled to the brim. Huge pours for all! ------ Such a great neighborhood place. Reasonable wine and cocktail prices. Staff is very attentive. Antipasto rustico is amazing and we also had the meatball Parmesan pizza as an appetizer and it was yum!!

I've lived right down the road from Maria's for 4 years and never went in. I assumed it was a fancy upscale restaurant (it is) my sister and I stopped in Sunday after a Long very hot day of moving and boy did that make the day! First the atmosphere is amazing. It's like a pub, restaurant, high class dining rolled into one! Second the employees are amazingly awesome! It's family run and they made us feel like part of their 9family! Third food was awesome!! If you're not eating at Maria's it's your bad please learn from my mistake not going! Enjoy! I can't get it. Thank you Lauren and Juliana!! Every new dish I try is amazing!

Used Maria’s catering for our wedding and had such an unbelievably positive experience. The staff was so chill and had a wonderful mood as they arrived to serve our wedding. They interacted with our guests and kept incredible hot food available for hours. They set up during the ceremony and took down quietly and efficiently after the dinner time was done while we were all on the dance floor. Can’t recommend them enough! Everyone is still talking about how good the food was a week later! So reasonably priced as well and they additionally offered to bring soft drinks water and cutlery for our guests for a small per person fee.

Had a group of 18 for a family birthday. Service was great, food was tasty and reasonably priced. Everyone in the party raved about the event.

5 stars! We just had Maria’s cater our wedding for 160 people and we are so very happy and grateful to them! Shout out to Patricia and her crew! The food was outstanding all of our guests were so thrilled. The service was incredible, friendly staff! Their communication was great as they helped us plan a great menu. everything was delicious. We are recommending to all of our friends and family!

Absolutely recommend the chicken piccata! Also, their bread for the table is focaccia and it’s so damn delicious! For the quantity and the quality the price is definitely worth it! It is our favorite go to Italian place now!
